Pokémon Get Mew and Mewtwo Raid Event Announced

Trainers, the 2023 August Pokémon Presents gave the community a bunch of amazing news. Among them, was the brand new Mewtwo and Mew event coming in waves throughout August and September. This piece will break down the Get Mew and Mewtwo Raid Event for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet and show players how they can participate.

Get Mew as a Mystery Gift Right Away

Directly after the Pokémon Presents presentation, players can add Mew to their team from their Mystery Gift menu. All players have to do is enter the code GETY0URMEW to get a special Mew. Each Mew’s tera type will differ, making each Mew unique to the player who downloads them.

With this Mew being special, embrace the opportunity to bond with it. This gift will be available to players until September 18, 2023. Don’t procrastinate players as Mew is one of the Pokémon everyone will want to use during the Mewtwo raid. According to the company, something special will happen if players choose to use their Mews, but the presentation did not specify.

Use Mew to Take On The Mightiest Mewtwo

Speaking of Mewtwo, that’s who’s riding in on the heels of Rillaboom. A special 5 or 7-star Mewtwo event will be starting soon. This event begins on September 1 all the way until September 17. This Mewtwo has the Mightiest Mark, meaning it will be level 100 with perfect IVs.

There will also be additional Tera Raid battles that come in waves. Here are the specific wave times:

Wave 1: August 9 to August 17

Wave 2: August 18 to August 31

Mewtwo Raid: September 1 to September 17
