Guys, another great Kanto ROM hack has been brought to the Game Haus’ attention. Scarlet and Violet were Pokemon’s first true open world games. However, a devoted fan, Mian Calendar Games, has now turned Pokemon’s first region and journey into an open world game. This is all of the information, including installation, for Pokemon Big Blue.
Pokemon Big Blue is an open world difficulty hack of Pokemon FireRed. Players can choose to start in any town or city in the Kanto Region, along with picking 1 of 42 different starter Pokemon. Here are the other features of Big Blue:
So not only can players do here what they can in Scarlet and Violet, but this hack implements open world scaling better than official titles. To have all challenges and shops scale to badges may not be the most specific way to scale levels, but it is more effective than the final product of Scarlet and Violet pre-DLC.
Players can download Pokemon Big Blue through two ways. One, people can choose to go to a ROM site (The Game Haus cannot name specific ones) or type the name in the ROM on Google. Once there, players just need to click on the available download link and they will have it.
Players have to check to see what version they are downloading. The other way is for players to get a patch file of the ROM and use a patcher to apply it to a clean version of Pokemon FireRed. Currently, Pokemon Blig Blue works on all major operating systems.
This is all of the information fans know about Pokemon Big Blue. Mian released this hack on May 22, 2024. It is recent and players should make it a point to experience this AND hacks like Radical Red and Infinite Fusion. This should serve as an example to anyone the prime experience Pokemon games can give, even on old hardware.
