Outbreaks have been a feature of gameplay carried over from Gen 8 to recent games. However, mass outbreak events are a new thing brought into Scarlet and Violet after the release of the Teal Mask. This piece will go into detail on the first mass outbreak event: Clefairy.
Clefairy Mass Outbreak Event Ends in October
Until October 1, players will be able to interact and catch multiple outbreaks of Clefairy. Despite the fact that Clefairy can only be found in Kitakami, outbreaks will also happen in Paldea proper. Since this will most likely happen at night in the game, players should equip themselves with quick, timer, and dusk balls in order to increase their chance of catching as many Clefairy as they can.
However, there are a couple of things players need in order to be able to participate:
- Buy the Teal Mask and update it to the most recent version. While buying the dlc is not a hard requirement, it will keep players from missing out if there is a mass outbreak event only on Kitakami.
- Players need to have downloaded the latest updated data and the latest Poké Portal News. You do not need a paid Nintendo Switch Online membership to receive the latest Poké Portal News.
Lastly, if players are lucky, they will be able to get a Clefairy with the Upbeat Mark. This mark is part of the whole appeal of the event.
Conclusion
This is all we know about the Clefairy Mass Outbreak event for Scarlet and Violet. For more information, players can visit the Pokémon website here. Good luck, trainers! May everyone be fortunate enough to get their upbeat little pink star.
