Are There Any New Eevee Evolutions in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet?

There is no doubt that Eevee is one of the most popular Pokemon in the world. The reason for this is not only that it is cute, but also that it has so many other cute forms. The fact that it is named after evolving and has eight different forms means that so many people want them to continue. With Eevee already having nine of the 18 possible typings, will it be getting any more Evolutions in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet? Here is the latest on possible Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Eevee Evolutions.

Here is a list of the different Eevee evolutions, their typing and the generations they came with.

Gen 1 (Red, Blue and Yellow)

• Eevee (Normal Type)
• Flareon (Fire Type)
• Jolteon (Electric Type)
• Vaporeon (Water Type)

Gen 2 (Gold, Silver and Crystal)

• Espeon (Psychic Type)
• Umbreon (Dark Type)

Gen 4 (Diamond, Pearl and Platinum)

• Glaceon (Ice Type)
• Leafeon (Grass Type)

Gen 6 (X and Y)

• Sylveon (Fairy Type)

Here is a list of the types that do not have an Eeveelution so far.

• Fighting Type
• Poison type
• Ground Type
• Flying Type
• Bug Type
• Rock Type
• Ghost Type
• Dragon Type
• Steel Type

To answer the question of whether there will be any new Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Eevee Evolutions, the answer is sadly no. There are still going to be nine types that have not had an Eevee evolution. This also means that fans have gone nearly 10 years without a new Eevee evolution. Does this mean that Game Freak and The Pokemon Company have given up on them? Or are they saving them as they continue to pump out new games?

Regardless, the leaks point toward no new Eeveelution. The hope will be that either in the next game or that in the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet DLC there will be even just on new Eeveelution.

Sadly so far, there have been no indications that will be the case.
