Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are coming soon and many people will be wondering what the roster is for the new games. Some things have been released and some have been leaked. Right now there have been three separate trailers that have revealed the games, new Pokemon and older Pokemon making their way into Scarlet and Violet. Not every Pokemon will be in each game though. As in the past, there are exclusive Pokemon. Here are the Pokemon Scarlet Version Exclusive Pokemon.

Version exclusive Pokemon have existed since the first series of Pokemon video games. In Red and Blue the big exclusives included very popular Pokemon like Arcanine, Scyther, Ninetales, Electabuzz and Magmar. This has always continued for Pokemon with each game.
There were multiple reasons that the Pokemon Company decided to do this. One was obviously the business side of trying to sell essentially the same game twice. The other was to encourage trading. Something that has become a staple for all Pokemon games. Whether it was the trading cable or finally being able to trade online, Pokemon as at the forefront.
Now with Scarlet and Violet, the multiplayer aspect of the games will be a massive component. For the first time, players will be able to play in the same world as each other and this will include allowing fans to catch Pokemon that aren’t available on the version they are playing.
Before diving into the exclusives, one note is that while Koraidon and Miraidon are looking to be exclusive, the Pokemon website does not have them in that category yet. This article will assume they are for now.
There will likely be more as more Pokemon are revealed to be in the game as well.
