7 Star Charizard Raid Returns

Publish Date: March 1, 2024

Players, the 7-star Mighty Charizard raid has returned for a second round. This is the second raid event that the Pokémon Company has recycled without having to make up for technical issues. This piece will serve as a reminder for those needing to prepare to retake the 7 Star Charizard Raid.

Boss Info

As was the case when Walking Wake was relaunched:

Level: 100

Type: Fire/Flying

Tera Type: Dragon

Nature: Modest

Ability: Modest

Moves: Dragon Pulse, Fire Blast, Hurricane, Focus Blast

Extra moves are Overheat, Tera Blast, Sunny Day, and Inferno. Come prepared with Pokémon that are specially defensive. The rerun for this event is from March 13 to March 17. Below are some familiar and new counters for players.

Counters

Sylveon

Image from Bulbapedia

Due to being a fairy type, Sylveon resists fire and makes Charizard’s Dragon Pulse useless. By making sure it has the hidden ability, Pixilate, Sylveon can turn some hard-hitting normal-type moves into fairy types. Along with its bulk, the possibility for stab from moves like Hyper Beam make it one of the best options.

Below is a Sylveon set:

Type: Fairy

Tera Type: Fairy

Nature: Modest

Ability: Pixilate

Held Item: Shell Bell

Moveset: Calm Mind, Hyper Beam, Draining Kiss, Fake Tears

Boost your special attack and special defense, neuter Charizard’s attack, and go ham. This is one of the best offensive sets to counter this raid. This next suggestion will offer more support options.

Armarouge

Armarouge can be used for special offense, but there’s a reason a fire type is needed here. Flash Fire. Using this ability, Armarouge will soak up any fire-type attack, increasing its attack or special attack stat. Players can use the following set:

Moves: Dragon Pulse, Light Screen, Calm Mind, Tera Blast

Using Calm Mind and Light Screen will help allies as well as Armarouge itself. Tera Blast and Dragon Pulse will serve as their damage moves. This is not the most effective support option, but it is good enough to exploit Flash Fire to neuter Charizard’s fire defenses on a team. Here is the rest of the set:

Type: Fire/Psychic

Tera Type: Dragon

Nature: Sassy

Ability: Flash Fire

Held Item: Leftovers

Conclusion

This is the guide for the 7 Star Charizard Raid rerun. This was the first ever 7-star raid the company launched. Now it’s coming back again. If players do what they did last time, or follow the advice in this guide, they will come out victorious. Good luck everyone.
