It was just announced that Pokémon Legends: Z-A will have a playable demo releasing next week. Here are the full details of the demo and how you can get your hands on the new game before its October 2025 release.

It was announced by Serebii.net on X that Pokémon Legends: Z-A will have a playable demo, “for attendees at the Pokémon World Championships in Anaheim, California next week.”

Some more details were also shared on the serebii website:

“It has been confirmed that, at the Pokémon World Championships in Anaheim next week, from August 15th to 17th, there will be a special demo to give the opportunity to be the first to play Pokémon Legends: Z-A – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition. This will be the same demo that will be playable at Gamescom the following week. We’ll provide full details as and when we have them.”

We aren’t sure yet how limited the demo will be or if it will require any kind of special access to play at the event.

However, simply the fact that fans will be able to get their hands on this game early is a major deal, and one that should help to increase attendance and buzz for the World Championships.
