Overwatch 2 developers have made some major changes to Overwatch 2 Stadium as a part of the May 20 Season 16 Midseason Patch, including the addition of Freja to the list of playable heroes. Here is the full list of Stadium Patch Notes.

Overwatch 2 Stadium Patch Notes Highlights – May 20, 2025

Below are the main high points of the Overwatch 2 Stadium Season 16 Midseason Patch. In short, this patch adds Freja as a playable hero, balances several items, and looks to stabilize a couple of the stronger builds that have leaped out so far.

• Patch additions:
  • Freja!
• Patch nerfs:
  • Reinhardt melee build
  • Soldier: 76 Helix Rocket
• Patch alterations:
  • Several items see their costs increase
  • Multiple items reworked

This patch also adds a new Street Fighter collaboration, some general balance changes to Overwatch 2’s standard mode, a new Mercy Mythic Item, and more.
