Overwatch 2 Stadium is in its inaugural season with an initial cast of 17 playable heroes, each with their own Powers and build potential. But not all of the heroes in this initial season are on a level playing field, as a few have established themselves as some of the best heroes. To help you make the best choice possible when you go to select a hero in OW 2 Stadium, we’ve crafted a tier list ranking all heroes from best to worst. This tier list is intended for all ranks of play and is aimed at identifying which heroes tend to have an edge across various compositions and situations. There’s no doubt that lower-tiered heroes on this list can still be viable, but we believe heroes we rated higher are more effective more often.
The heroes in this tier feel, almost every game, like they are contributing positively to their team, yet each for their own reason. Soldier: 76 can be truly deadly with his Weapon Damage build, Junker Queen feels almost impossible to kill when she is cycling cooldowns, and Moira can cover almost any arena with healing or damage orbs. Nearly any composition can benefit from one of these three heroes, and all three on one team feels positively overwhelming.
If you are new to Stadium and looking for an option at each Role, these are far and away the ones we would suggest.
These heroes also feel very strong, but distinctly less so than their S-Tier counterparts. Reinhardt and D.Va can both mitigate unreal amounts of damage and maintain a frontline presence nearly all the time, but can be countered by certain picks. Zarya, on the other hand, can be used as a protector or a force of nature with her beam build, which unleashes her primary fire and is among the strongest builds in Stadium. Kiriko provides incredible utility and counterplay with her ability to cleanse and burst heal teammates. For a pure healer, she may be the best in the roster, only lacking in reliable damage output when compared to Moira in S-Tier.
All in all, these are still great picks and still feel dominant in most situations.

B-Tier is a bit more of a coin flip when it comes to reliability across all situations. All can dominate, but tend to rely on the right circumstances to do so, or may need some extra time to scale into their builds. This is especially the case for Genji’s best build, which can feel very strong in the late game once he has certain Dash Powers up, but feels very weak before then. Mei is much the same with her popular ice ball build.
Of these, Juno feels like she has the most potential to jump up in tiers thanks to her Torpedo build, however, this build is most easily countered by Soldier: 76, who feels like a must-pick currently. Ana and Cassidy can both carry games as well, but rely a bit too much on skill shots and can he hard countered by several heroes in the Season 16 pool.
The four C-Tier options all feel like they are often fighting for value against better options. Reaper can terrorize a backline, but so many things can shut him down before he can do so. Mercy’s resurrection single-handedly gives her value, but compared to other healers, she feels underutilized, as does Lucio. Orisa, in much the same way, feels very outclassed by the other Tanks in the pool. Pick these heroes with caution in Season 16 of Overwatch 2 Stadium.

Ashe currently sits alone in D-Tier due to her inability to compete with the other DPS options in the pool. It feels like Cassidy and Soldier: 76 out-damage her with single targets, and Mei, Reaper, and Genji are stronger for AOE and area denial. Ashe may just need some tuning in order to feel more reliable in Stadium moving forward.
