New Tales from the Borderlands Release Date

Borderlands fans get to hear another story. Sequel to Telltale games Tales from the Borderlands, New Tales from the Borderlands release is set for October 21, 2022, for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.

The Details

New Tales from the Borderlands takes place on the planet of Promethea following the events of Borderlands 3. Players will follow Anu, Fran, and Octavio. A trio of friends/losers as they fight back against exploitation and corporate greed. These 3 will be encountering bizarre situations raging from gun-wielding goons and monsters.

Mimicking the same layout as its predecessor New Tales from the Borderlands will also have branching narratives. Each path taken will be determined by the choices the player makes. As stated by Gearbox, “Whether it’s Anu’s vision of a universe that markets more than weapons, Octavio’s dreams of fame and fortune, or Fran’s frosty plot for revenge, their success or failure depends on you.”

While keeping the same episodic format that Tales from the Borderlands had, players will not have to wait for the release of each episode. Every episode will be released on day 1.

Different Editions

There will be 2 different versions of New Tales from the Borderlands. Both are currently available for pre-order. The standard edition pre-order of the game comes with the Adventure Capital Pack. This pack features cosmetics for Anu, Octavio, and Fran. The pack also comes with 10,000 in-game currency and an in-game FL4K Vaultlander collectible. The 10,000 in-game currency is used to purchase additional cosmetics so players can customize all of the protagonist’s looks.

The Deluxe Edition of the game comes with all of the perks mentioned in the standard edition pre-order game. The exclusive edition is the full game of the original copy of Tales From The Borderlands.
