The developers performed a maintenance on October 12, preparing for the My Hero Ultra Rumble balance update. It appears these My Hero Ultra Rumble Patch Notes attempt to stabilize the meta, providing nerfs to the overwhelming picks and granting power to the more underwhelming ones.
Most notably, it appears they nerfed Bakugou — who has been an incredibly powerful character. The patch notes don’t include numbers for the balance, so it’s difficult to tell exactly how much is changed. Regardless, here are the full My Hero Ultra Rumble October 12 Patch Notes.

Note: Just a heads up, the My Hero Ultra Rumble Patch notes were only available in Japanese, and the moves were directly translated. Therefore the technique names may differ.

It seems the developers have a pretty keen eye on the game. They’re listening to community feedback, and rather promptly to address many of the concerns regarding the meta. The Bakugou nerfs are very much appreciated, seeing as how the hero was the most overpowered in the game. But it appears they left his γ move untouched, which is the melee area of effect explosion.
This was easily his most powerful asset, since it practically one shots anyone it hits. Either way, seeing Bakugou nerfs is definitely much appreciated — play testing will be necessary to see exactly how much this update truly affects him.
In addition, the more underwhelming picks, such as Kirishima and Tenya definitely benefit from this update. There’s definitely still more balance to be had, with some picks still not seeing much prevalence in the meta. But considering this is one of the first updates since release, it’s a step in the right direction.
