MultiVersus is shutting down its open beta in preparation for a relaunch next year. What does this mean for the MultiVersus Season 2 Battle Pass end date?
The MultiVersus Season 2 Battle Pass will be extended through June 25, 2023. This means that daily missions will still be in the game so players can finish the pass before it’s gone. Beginning March 31, no more weekly milestones will be added.

Warner Bros. Games along with Player First Games have made a statement saying that all of MultiVersus’s online services will be shut done starting June 25. Since its launch, MultiVersus has always been in its open beta stage. This lengthy downtime is said to serve as the key to the title’s development.
The reason for the absence is to focus attention on the content cadence of new characters, maps, and game modes. The in-game progression system will also be receiving some changes as well. Along with new and updated content, the team plans to update their netcode and matchmaking.
Tony Huynh, co-founder, and game director at Player First Games, regarding the announcement, stated “Our Open Beta has been an important learning opportunity for us and a stepping stone to the next phase of MultiVersus.”
June 25 is when the MultiVersus Beta shuts down but that doesn’t mean the title is going anywhere, just the online portion. Anyone who wishes to still play the title can, however, they will have access to limited features. Players will still have access to the training room and local matches. Player progress and cosmetics will still be kept.
MulitVersus will be coming back just not for some time. The title will be relaunching sometime in early 2024. Until April 4 the title will still be made available for download including its in-game currency Gleamiuim.
