It appears Monster Hunter Now’s developers are cracking down on cheating. On October 2, they adjusted the game. They disabled Monster Hunter Now Spoofing, preventing players from faking their location to hunt. When players use a gps faker, Monster Hunter Now Network Error 6-4 pops up. This means players will now actually have to go outside and touch grass.
Granted, Monster Hunter Now Network Error 6-4 isn’t only for GPS spoofing. But as of the last couple of hours, it appears Monster Hunter Now spoofing caused the majority of these errors. Some users have even reported a soft ban, where nothing shows up in their game anymore.
Many players utilized spoofing to work around many of the game’s flaws — including the rather unbalanced health regeneration system and monetization of potions. But now, it appears players will either have to use microtransactions to purchase more potions or simply play perfectly without ever getting hit to properly progress in the game. The only other realistic alternative is to wait around thirty minutes between faints for the Hunter’s health to regenerate.
Once Capcom and Niantic balance the game’s health regeneration alongside other GPS bugs, this change could very help the game’s longevity. After all, players will actually be able to see other players out in the wild, rather than just their character in hunts. This means the social aspect of the game will improve. But without a health regeneration fix, Monster Hunter Now social play time is extremely limited.

When pokemon go came out I used to spoof all the time to get pokemon not in my city that I still havent seen those pokemon in my city now the only way to get it is to spend hundreds of dollars that won’t go to the company to get these pokemon which is not worth it and though looks like they made it a bit easier to find monsters( might be because of the lack of monsters) I like to spoof when I’m at work how I can’t really walk far right now I wanted to fight a legiana but it’s too far for me to walk at the moment and I rarely see legiana’s

Maybe just a bug i wait to be at home and try a new one, and 6-4 again an other paintball and a Monster Lost freaking nice. Not a good move for them. I just uninstalled the game for that error. Its a drag walking out, loosing HP and wait for a long period just to replenish HP. Id be a dried raisin by the time I have full HP. So nope!!
Shit it doesn’t just do that, I’ve gotten it at random at some points. It feels like it just arbitrarily decides if you are cheating.

This game was great when you could spoof to a location with actual resources to upgrade gear. Now that this has been disabled, it’s time to uninstall.
Yo creo que da lo mismo si jugando con joystick ya que el juego es muy limitado y hay muchas personas que no pueden salir de casas por diferentes motivos, salud, inseguridad ext.. al final el juego es muy básico y por último con el joystick tenían más gente jugando ahora muchos dejaran de usarlo por una prohibición tonta..

The amount of entitlement from the comments is amazing. Sure it is abit of a grind and you have to put effort to go around. However, for something that is purely entertainment and FREE. People really do need to recheck their realities abit. Quit because you cannot cheat at what is FREE. I’m pretty sure most of people blaming spoofer don’t know how many mat you need to reach lvl 6 weapons, just to know i killed litteraly 500+ kuluyaku for a katana T5 5/5 and i’m stuck because over 100 kuluyaku 6 stars, i found half of the mats. I don’t even imagine how long it is to grind t6 and over and i’m focusing purely on the weapons i didn’t even think if you try to upgrade a full set of armor.
For potion tbh i don’t Care don’t really use them that much i even Lost 2-3 per days right now.

It’s not purely free when you can’t even craft potion and they only limit you to 5 free potions per day. Sure it’s free, with probably 90% limitation. The drop rate is so shitty, it’s not even funny to call it “a bit of a grind”. I can count how many times i got prime scales, from multiple kind of monsters, not just 1 mons, with just 1 hand, and i even spoof before they disabled it. Not to mention, some, if not most of us doesn’t have a safe neighborhood to just play on the outside. And what about disabled people? So they shouldn’t play this game now? Because it’s their fault for being disabled, therefore can’t walk and play the game like a normal fucking person? God i hate pretentious people like you. What a fucking justice warrior
Spoofing is not cheating, and the game is not really free either. Sure, it’s their game, they have the rights to block spoofing, but at least make some improvements first before doing that. Blocking it without giving the players some decency on the game is actually a bullshit move. 1 star mats on 4/5 star monster? Limiting the free potions to 5 a day, only to waste 4 of them in a 5 star combat? And what next, waiting for 20 mins after only beating 1 monster because you can’t even afford to use potion anymore? Not to mention, the speed restriction bullshit. Even with the spoofing, players have to fucking grind to hell because of the shitty drop rate. It’s too quick to make a decision, remember, first of all, when the Diablos event appeared, it seemed like this was just a disturbance from the server side because the Pink Rathian debut event would appear soon.
Spoofers are the ones that actually has to spend money on the game to accommodate for all the materials that they manage to gather.

I was a hybrid player mostly at work (I work 12hrs inside). I’d fight monsters that popped up at work and walk out into the parking lot but I couldn’t physically leave the property and there wasn’t any tap spawns on the industrial side of the city. So between 1am-7am when I had free time I spoofed my character down the main drag road to grind out quests. Weekend mornings I’d meet up with my brother and we would walk around main street shops and hit up all the tap spawns. Now winter is around the corner, I doubt I’ll be playing much as I’ll only be able kill what’s around me every 3 hours :/ – for how much grind there is and the fact there’s no competitive play.. What benefits Niantic to crack down on spoofing? Players don’t even share monster generation on the maps.

Disabled GPS spoofing is a stupid move from NIANTIC,these Devs are Dumb as board. Cancel spoofing will only make the game dead and monster hunter franchise team up with NIANTIC is a mistake and a waste of time. They should have create their own mobile game , now The game is dead just like Pokémon go with load of old people playing the game. I enjoy the game and have had no issues with spawns and mats. I walk to where the monsters I want are and when I travel my Palico paintballs monsters for me. I play with my spouse and we both enjoy it and our kids enjoy killing the lower level monsters.

There is no one playing near me and i have to use GPS spoofing. It’s no longer fun after this update. The game was much more fun when it first came out, but it got worse with each update.

What sucks is for those who unfortunately live in a bad neighborhood or an area with high crime rates. I play when I can when I go shopping or such, but I guess I’ll have to let this game go. Spoofing made the game fun without putting my life at unnecessary risk. That’s just me though.
Lol it doesn’t work thay way. You can only do it close to your actual location, not anywhere in the world. You have to load the game first then activate mock gps to walk around your local area. Nothing else will load once mock gps is active. I don’t see what that’s so bad and them disabling it absolutely killed a ton of peoples interest in the game. Shame.

I can’t walk with my phone out on the street because I’m going to get robbed. Hell, there were tons of news about that even way back with pokemon go.
You can’t possibly not know about that. Most of the world isn’t safe enough that you can move around with your eyes glued on your phone.
On top of that, the game is extremelly hard. You need to focus a lot, so it’s even far more of a hazard than pokemon go.
