Meme Fighter: Explosive Casual PVP Action Games Coming to Web 3

Publish Date: January 11, 2024

Meme Match is a puzzle fighter match 3 game launched recently for mobile featuring popular Meme characters in internet culture.

Gamers may be familiar with casual big wigs such as King.com’s Candy Crush and Pop Cap’s Bejeweled series which have enjoyed huge success over the past decade. The list goes on for Match 3 style games on mobile.

Meme Match by Meme Fighter brings a fresh take on a tired genre of mobile puzzle games by pitting players against each other in live action competitions. While some games have flirted with multiplayer casual comps so far they have been turn based match game modes lacking a dynamic feel to competitive game play.

Meme Fighter allows players to race against the clock and look to out match their opponent while sending additional gem burdens the way of the opponent. Their game style is more intense and focused towards the eSports end of casual gaming.

Meme Match can therefore be defined as a new age Web 3 game that integrates blockchain and it’s Meme genre with social networking to provide anyone with a mobile the ability to compete in what is one of the worlds easiest to learn hard to master game types.

You can choose from an expanded character roster of characters that go beyond Memes to do battle with while also farming an in-game currency to use to unlock character skins and boosters.

Perhaps one of the more curious technical aspects of Meme Match and the additional games coming to Meme Fighter’s Arcade is the ability for gamers to play on iOS via their mobile browser. While Web 3 games have appeared on the Apple store before, there is no ability to win tokens in any of these titles such as Axie Infinity due to Apple’s policies concerning blockchain. Whereas Meme Fighter has adopted a browser game route to market allowing them the flexibility to run blockchain leaderboards without limitations.

Meme Match features heavy animation that provides a more interactive and fun experience for both the player and audience making the games come to life more than competitors other than possible Match Masters. This provides a more engaging and entertaining experience for those curious about watching players compete for prizes and makes it stand out more than many other Match 3 titles that lack the in-game fighters and gameplay mix that bring the game more to life.

Promises of additional modes such as a virus spreading payload dumper and even team leaderboards means Meme Match is being scaled up to become a leading modern age casual puzzle game for those curious about Web 3.

If we look beyond Meme Match itself, Meme Fighter is developing two other titles with the same character IP which are Meme Brawl and Meme Rap. Also aimed at the casual gaming market these two additional games will be mobile browser focused with the same easy to access two minute game loops.

Meme Brawl is an 8 man royal rumble game with physics where players get pitted against each other in a 3D arena and can use any of the objects at their disposal to attack one another.

Each of the characters has two special moves and a wide variety of standard moves to engage opponents in combat. The winner is the last man standing.

The fighting is built on a casual premise and avoids getting too far into the tactical weeds of more competitive fighters such as Street Fighter and Tekken.

The game is most definitely being made to engage audiences who enjoy simpler controls and gameplay when it comes to the fighting genre.

Finally, Meme Rap is a Parappa the Rapper style music and rhythm game. The main game mechanic is focused on timing and reflexes to make your chosen meme character rap to the lyrics and rhythm of the music.

Players can choose from a range of colourful musical styles to square off against other real life opponents in a dance and rap battle.

With a broad range of casual games in development Meme Fighter shows promise of becoming a decent contender in the new age gaming space and should attract a very wide audience with their strategy of mobile browser animated games.
