Following the release of the Super Mario RPG remake comes the Mario vs. Donkey Kong remake based on the title released in 2004 for the Game Boy Advance. Not only will there be two new levels added to the game, but there will also be a Mario Vs Donkey Kong Multiplayer mode available at launch. Here’s what gamers can expect from this two-player cooperative experience.
The Nintendo Switch rendition of Mario Vs Donkey will include new content such as local coop. In the multiplayer mode the second character will be assisting Mario as Toad. The newest trailer showcases two brand-new levels. Merry Mini-Land and Slipper Summit, each come with new obstacles and challenges. Gamers will also be able to unlock Plus Levels, Expert Levels, and a Time Attack feature.
Co-op Description: “A second player can join the fun as Toad on the same system in Two-Player Mode! Put your heads together to solve any of the more than 130 levels. You might even notice some differences in them when you buddy up.“
“Donkey Kong has stolen all the Mini-Mario toys from the factory, and it’s up to Mario to get them back! Run, jump, and backflip your way to retrieving them across over 130 levels in this puzzle-style twist on classic platforming action.
“The rivalry that originally heated up on the Game Boy Advance system returns on the Nintendo Switch system with newly added co-op play, brand-new worlds, updated music and visuals, and other new ways to play.”
Mario vs. Donkey Kong launches for the Nintendo Switch on February 16th, 2024.
