Mario Tennis Fever Release Date, Price And More!

The official release date for Mario Tennis Fever is set for February 12, 2026. It’s said to be one of the biggest Mario Tennis games within the series. Big enough to set gamers back at least 10 GB. The game is available in only one edition, with a standard price of $69.99. Up to four players can play, and it includes both online and local multiplayer. GameShare is also an additional feature.

Mario Tennis Fever is holding a whopping 38-character roster of both old and new characters alike.  Each character can affect the speed, power, control, and spin of the ball, so you’ll have to plan wisely. Here are some of the characters that have been added, click on the link above for the rest.

Mario Tennis Fever Rackets

Fever Rackets will each come with different abilities. Some of those are listed below.

  • Flame Racket
    • Function: Drops fire puddles on the court that burn opponents on contact.
    • Unlock criteria: Available from the start.
  • Ice Racket
    • Function: Turns the ground into ice, causing opponents to slip around.
    • Unlock criteria: Available from the start.
  • Lightning Racket
    • Function: Summons an electric field on the opponent’s side of the court, which can paralyze them temporarily.
    • Unlock criteria: Available from the start.
  • Ty-foo Racket
    • Function: Creates a tornado on the opponent’s side which can knock them back.
    • Unlock criteria: Available from the start.

Is Mario Tennis Fever Local Multiplayer?

Mario Tennis Fever can be played locally on four separate controllers. If players want to swing their Joy-Con controllers like an actual racket, they can turn on Swing Mode. Fever Rackets are a new addition to the Mario Tennis franchise. These special rackets allow characters to build up a gauge when filled, allowing the racket to release special effects. There are a total of 30 fever rackets to discover and choose from, and all players have access to them. Like traditional tennis regulation, you can only play a singles or doubles match.
