The folks over at Bungie are experimenting with the PvPvE extraction genre with Marathon. Currently theres not too much to be known about Marathon since its announcement. Players will be scavenging supplies across different deserted research facilities and rugged landscapes. There will be enemies, dynamic events, and other hazards. Just like with any other exfil shooter, with each successful extraction, you advance. In Maratho,n you can progress your way towards seasonal power, cosmetics for achievements, and the opportunity to create stronger builds with stolen loot. A diverse playstyle is offered through six equippable “Runner shells”; these act as the character classes. They all come with moddable weapons, body implants, and core system upgrades to create different playstyles and builds. The game can be played in trios or alone in a solo lobby.
