The lastest update for Deadlock was a pretty major one and while we knew something was on the way, many did not think it would be this significant. Between major item changes, shop changes and more, this little change could go under the radar. Here is a look at the Deadlock Soul Orb Changes in the Shop Rework Update.
Below are the Deadlock Soul Orb Changes from the official Shop Rework Update patch notes.

A lot of these changes are pretty significant in their own ways.
The first one of getting ammo back when you claim the org is going to be huge for a lot of characters. With the ability to not lose ammo, it will help to sustain players in lane and keep the action up. Along with this it could create more opportunities for the devs to create characters with less ammo.
Along with this the latency issues, feedback and visual effects will all help players in various ways. Considering Value also makes Counter-Strike 2 and understand latency as well as anyone, that alone will be extremely helpful.
Lastly, not having the orbs automatically claims will drastically change some parts of certain lanes. It will be worth watching to see if this changes or if maybe it will track your shots for orbs like they are going through objects, but not actually go through them?
No matter what, this will effectively change laning for the better and could allow for more changes in the future.
