The Game Haus will be analyzing the player ratings from Madden 20 of every NFL team. Madden has a daunting task of rating all NFL players and their attributes. While they have the ability to correct some of these rankings with in-season roster updates, there are some issues with some of the initial rankings of players. Here are the Madden 20 questionable ratings: Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Lavonte David- 90

David is one of the best linebackers in the game and had 120 total tackles for the Buccaneers last season. Madden made him one of the best tacklers in the game, but did give him a relatively low overall rating. He was given a 90 rating in the game.

He is tied for the third-best middle linebacker in the game with Deion Jones at 90 overall. Luke Keuchly and Bobby Wagner are rightfully ranked 98 and 99 respectively, but both Jones and David deserve a ratings boost to compensate for the gap between the two sets of linebackers.

Adjusted Rating- 94

Vita Vea- 80

Vea had an up and down rookie season for the Buccaneers in 2018. He finished the season with three sacks and four tackles for loss. While nose tackles don’t produce a lot of stats, Vea is still rated too highly by Madden at an 80 overall.

Javon Hargrave of the Pittsburgh Steelers had 6.5 sacks last season, yet was rated lower than Vea at a 79. Vea should be rated a point or two lower than Hargrave to make things right.

Adjusted Rating- 77

Carl Nassib- 75

Nassib was a productive pass rusher for the Buccaneers with 6.5 sacks in 2018. Despite having a decent season he was overlooked by Madden and was given a 75 rating. Based on what other pass rushers are rated, Nassib should be rated higher.

Dante Fowler had just four sacks between time with the Jaguars and Rams last season. Nassib deserves to be rated at least as high as Fowler’s 77.

Adjusted Rating- 77

Devin White- 74

While rookies don’t usually make these lists, White deserves better than his 74 rating. He played like his hair was on fire for LSU last season. The Buccaneers thought so highly of him, they drafted him with the fifth overall selection in the 2019 NFL Draft.

Players that were selected after White were rated higher than him, which shouldn’t necessarily be the case. Ed Oliver and Josh Allen, for example, have higher ratings. White should be rated in line with where he was drafted.
