During the Xbox Partner Preview showcase fans of the Yakuza series saw what was in store for Yakuza Like a Dragon Infite Wealth. Not only did they see footage of Ichiban and Kiryu in action, but something else was presented. Infinite Wealth plans to launch with another game mode called Happy Resort Don Doko Island.
Happy Resort DonDoko Island was shown today for Yakuza Like A Dragon Infinite Wealth. It appears to be a separate game mode for the game. Here you can play as Ichiban and create your own island home. From decorations, your surroundings, and even the island can be customized. You can even meet different characters on your journey and bring in tourists to the island. Certain uninvited guests will visit the island and you’ll have to beat them up to stop them from bringing down the mood. Infinite Wealth will be released on January 26th, 2024.

The Yakuza series as a whole has never been afraid to tie in some comedic values to the games. The games that most reference back to in proving this point have been Yakuza 0 and Yakuza Like A Dragon. These games have featured activities such as going to the arcade, cock fighting, running a business, and more. Side-missions or substories in these games almost always have a comedic tone to them as well. The fact that Happy Resort Don Doko Island is included is most welcoming indeed among the player base.
