

One of the biggest redeeming qualities of the Borderlands franchise is the excellent co-op action. With excellent award winning split screen action alongside online play, Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands should be no different. The game releases on many different platforms. So will Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands cross play be supported?

It’s highly likely not to have cross play, at least during intiial release. But don’t lose hope. Cross-play may be available in the future. Upon initial releases, It’s highly likely cross-play won’t be supported. But a lot of first person shooters do the same. Take for example, Overwatch on console. When it first released, Cross-play didn’t exist. But after some time, the developers properly implemented cross-play. The same can be said for Borderlands 3, although not as extensively. Borderlands 3 initially dropped without any cross-play support. Players from the Epic Store and Steam could play together, but that was the extent.
After a couple months, Borderlands 3 released cross play. Allowing all various consoles to play together, this vastly improved the social aspects of the game. Sadly, Playstation exempt itself from cross-play after some time. Therefore, Xbox and PC cross platform remained supported. Though not perfect, this instance provides evidence for probability of cross-platform play for Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands.
Since Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands Cross Play functionality will not likely not be supported, at least on initial release, be wary and plan accordingly. After all, the best way to play any Borderlands game is to play with friends. Playing solo because of console restrictions would suck. But do not lose hope. If Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands follows Borderlands 3’s example, cross play may debut in the future. There are no guarantees, but it’s always good to remain hopeful.
