Are you looking for the next big looter shooter? Then The First Descendant may be for you. While many people have enjoyed Destiny 2, The First Descendant really leans more into the JRPG side of things and bring about many new abilities and ways to play. This new game is coming soon and if it has you interested then you likely have questions such as, is The First Descendant Multiplayer?

The The First Descendant will be Co-op or Multiplayer.
You will also be able to play this game as a single-player story. As stated above, this game will be like Destiny and Destiny 2 where you can play the story and fight baddies with friends or by yourself. It will truly be a sort-of choose your own adventure type game. Either way, you will need others to help you beat bosses but whether they are friends or others is totally up to you.
The First Descendant Release Date will be on July 2, 2024.
This was a major surprise but certainly a welcome one. Mainly because the announcement for the release date came just under a month before The First Descendant is actually coming out. Many soon to be players and fans had expected sometime later in the year. Instead it is going to in a few weeks. What is also interesting is that we still do not have a price for the game. We will have to see if they go for a freemium model, a normal pay once or maybe even a hybrid with a battlepass of sorts.
Sadly, it does not look like The First Descendant will be on Xbox Game Pass.
That being said, there is a good chance it will be available on it in the future. This is mainly because it will be available on PC through Steam upon launch. Also it will be on Xbox Series X|S. With those two things both being true, the possibility to have it end up on Xbox Game Pass is not out of the question. This is especially true if the game becomes popular enough for Microsoft to take a chance on it even after its initial launch.
The First Descendant gameplay will be reminiscent of most third-person shooters.
You will get to control your character, shoot their weapons and use their abilities to take down big enemies. It will mainly come down to how exciting the enemies and abilities are. Also are the characters going to be interesting enough to keep you playing. They certainly look intriguing and the gameplay looks solid based on what we have seen so far. It will not be long before we are able to test this out for ourselves.
