A new Metroidvania-style game is coming out soon. The tale sees a young Shaman named Zai who needs to capture spirits as offerings to the God of Death. He is doing this to try and revive his father. This game will see him using two different weapons, a Sun Mask and a Moon Mask in order to complete these trials. Many players have been looking forward to this game and will be wondering, is the Tales of Kenzera: Zau Multiplayer?

Sadly, the Tales of Kenzera: Zau will not be Multiplayer.
This game was meant to be an immersive single-player story-driven platforming experience. Most of these types of games are not multiplayer as it would ruin the experience.
The Tales of Kenzera Zau Release Date will be on April 23, 2024.
We are close enough now that it is very unlikely the developers will push this game back unless something completely unexpected happens.
The hope is that this will spawn one of the next great series in this genre. Tales of Kenzera: Zau certainly takes on a different feel than most games of this genre but its combination of a more spiritual storyline and unique combat should help it to stand out. Lastly, the team over at Critical Role Productions helped with the game’s development which means the story should be very robust.
As of writing this article, Tales of Kenzera: Zau will not be on Game Pass.
That being said, fans will be able to buy the game for nearly every console. Sadly PS4 and Xbox One fans will be left out as this is being developed for Next Gen consoles. It will also be available for players on Steam and Epic Games. Lastly, players can buy it on the Nintendo Switch as well.
The game will cost $19.99 which means that they are expecting it to be a smaller game. Players should look at it taking somewhere between 8-10 hours to beat.
The Tales of Kenzera: Zau gameplay will be very much like most Metroidvania-style games. It will be an action-adventure game in a sidescrolling fashion. There will be some elements of 2D and 3D which is why it is referred to as a 2.5D game.
The two Masks will allow for Zau to either do melee/close combat attacks or ranged attacks. The close-up attacks will be used with the Sun Mask and the ranged attacks will be with the Moon Mask. These each will have their own upgrades and skills that players will get to chose.
