After EA has had a few years of making Star Wars games, Ubisoft is taking its first swing at making one. Star Wars Outlaws was a surprise when it was first announced but the open-world adventure game has fans buzzing. The game is set in the time between Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi which has largely been ignored in the current canon. Now, fans are going to be wondering, is Star Wars Outlaws Multiplayer?

As of writing this article, it does not look as if Star Wars Outlaws will be Multiplayer.
There is a chance that this could change though. Many are comparing this game to Grand Theft Auto in the sense of the gameplay and scale. If this ends up being the case it might release as a single-player game but then have a multiplayer aspect added to it. That would likely depend on the success of the game but with many Star Wars fans highly anticipating this one, there is a good chance it could see sustained success.
The Star Wars Outlaws Release Date will be August 30, 2024. However, if you get the Gold or Ultimate Edition then you can play the game 3 days earlier on August 27, 2024.
There is little doubt that fans and just those who passing intrigue were surprised to see this release date. They revealed the story trailer and at the end of it they gave the release date. Many had though that this game would be coming out sometime in 2025 considering we only just learned about it.
Instead, the GTA-style Star Wars game, or at least that is what people are theorizing, will be making its way to gamers even before the holidays.
Sadly, Star Wars Outlaws will not be releasing on Xbox Game Pass.
This is because it will be on the Ubisoft+ Pass Day 1 instead. The pricing is $17.99, a little pricier than Xbox Game Pass.
The game itself will still be released on Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 along with PC. Older gen consoles will be missing out and it looks as if it may be too intense graphically for the Nintendo Switch.
Right now little is known about Star Wars Outlaws’ gameplay.
We have gotten glimpses of the combat and the story but the real meat of the game is still a bit of a mystery. It looks to be similar to most open-world games right now but with a Star Wars twist. You will be able to travel the stars while fighting off the Empire and the different drug lords.
While those who are looking for Jedi and Sith will be disappointed, those who have always wanted to see what the life of a smuggler or scoundrel could be in the Star Wars universe are going to be eating well.
