The Game Awards always has surprises but the biggest one may have been at the beginning. One of the most popular games in recent memory, Elden Ring is getting a new standalone game. Are you excited yet? Here is our first look at Elden Ring Nightreign and if it will be on Xbox Game Pass.
It would be a surprise to see Elden Ring Nightreign on Xbox Game Pass.
This is mainly due to the fact that the original game and its DLC are not available on Xbox Game Pass. This is not to say that they may not add it by the time that Night Reign is released. But that still feels very unlikely.
Incredibly, the Elden Ring Nightreign Release Date will be May 29, 2025.
The reason why it is incredible is that Shadow of the Erdtree, a DLC of the original Elden Ring was released just in June of 2024. There had been rumors that Elden Ring would not have another game of DLC coming out. It looks like either the developers were messing with us or the rumors were completely off.
Either way, we are getting a new Elden Ring and there is no way that fans are not excited.
The Elden Ring Nightreign gameplay will be similar to normal Elden Ring but with a twist.
This time instead of fighting by yourself, you will be fighting with friends. That is right, this is a game that is made to be a co-op adventure. Will that make the boss fights easier? Most certainly not, it looks like it has been scaled to be able to handle more than just one player. Whether that means it will scale beyond just two player is not yet known but it seems likely that they have already thought of this.
We also are not sure how many players will be able to play the game at one time or if it will be only online or split-screen co-op. Either way, Elden Ring players will be able to play in an all new way and there is no doubt that they will be looking to find new build and the best way to take down bosses together.
