One of the best survival games in the genre and one of the originals, Ark, is getting a brand new sequel. While the game was mostly known for its community and basically capturing dinosaurs, this sequel feels like a whole new take on the series. Now fans are going to be wanting some answers as to what is coming next. Here is a look at, is Ark 2 Multiplayer?

Of course Ark 2 will be Multiplayer.
There will also be online Co-op meaning that you and at least one friend can play through the story together. How long that story is or how many people can play with you is not yet known. But considering this is technically a survival MMO as well, it should not come as a surprise that you can play every aspect of the game with other people.
The Ark 2 Release Date is unknown as of the publishing of this article. But, there is some good news for fans who are waiting.
It looks as though there is an expected Early Access release sometime in Q4 of 2024. For those who do not know, that means sometime in October, November or December, you should expect to see more news about playing. Whether that will be open to only a select few or everyone is not currently known and neither is the date.
It would seem as though there is a good chance that Ark 2 will be on Xbox Game Pass.
The main reason is that games like Ark: Survival Ascended are already on it and Ark 2 will be coming out on all platforms. With that in mind, it does not seem out of the possibility that Ark 2 will be on Xbox Game Pass. It may even be a Day 1 release game for the platform.
There are a lot of new changes coming to Ark 2 in terms of gameplay.
There will be a new dedicated storyline along with a souls-like combat system. Add in a new major map, upgrades from the initial game and much better technology overall and Ark 2 could be an incredible game. They are promising a lot and it will be interesting to see if they can deliver on all of it.
