With every anticipated game release, it’s no surprise that Xbox gamers are wondering if the titles will be up for grabs on Gamepass. This is no different from Alan Wake 2. So now the question is, is Alan Wake 2 Gamepass worthy?
Xbox Gamepass subscribers will not see Alan Wake 2 make its introduction to the subscription service. Xbox Gamepass has put popular and anticipated titles on the service before so don’t count Alan Wake 2 completely out of the running. Just don’t expect it too soon.

Gamers will not only play Alan Wake in this new installment of the franchise but also will be in control of Saga Anderson, an FBI profiler. Anderson discovers pages of a horror story, a horror story that starts to come true. Alan is a lost writer trapped in a nightmare prison beyond our world. When the two of them connect their separate realities are connected in ways neither of them can understand. Now they must find a way to wake up from this never-ending horror show.
While it’s true that Alan Wake 2 is a sequel, gamers don’t have to play the first title. The sequel is set up so newcomers can enjoy without the need for past knowledge of the previous game. Returning fans though are given connecting lore and references.
Alan Wake 2 launches on October 27, 2023, for PC on the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
