Indie Tabletop Deception Game, Liar’s Bar, adds Poker in update

Liar’s Bar is a tabletop deception game from Curve Animation that was released in October of 2024 and has since retained a Very Positive rating on Steam. While the game has previously featured a dice and card game, it will now have Liar’s Poker and matchmaking after a June 26 update. Here are the full details.

Liar’s Bar adds Poker in June 26 update

Liar’s Bar will now have a Poker game mode called Liar’s Poker to go alongside its Dice and other Liar’s Deck card game. This comes alongside a new bar inside a moving train and matchmaking in the latest update.

A brand new game has hit the table — Liar’s Poker!

With it, Liar’s Poker Matchmaking is now live, featuring cheat protection to ensure a fair and thrilling experience.

The Liar’s Deck Beta Season has ended and Season 1 has now officially begun. The top players of the Beta have marked their names on the Legendsboard.

Bug Fixes

We’ve resolved several key issues to improve the overall experience:

• Fixed an issue where matchmaking could start with missing players.
• Reworked score calculation: players now earn points based on how many opponents they’ve sat at the table with.
• Ongoing improvements to prevent cheating and exploit abuse.

Coming Soon to the Table

• Liar’s Dice Matchmaking — a remastered and competitive version of the classic experience.
• New Bar: Soviet Train — a one-of-a-kind bar built inside a moving train.
• Velvet Room — a luxurious lounge where Riva performs in her way while two players compete under her gaze.
• And of course — many bug fixes, including improvements to matchmaking stability and cheat protection.
