The massive Civilization 7 Update 1.2.2 is live, bringing players the ability to tune AI difficulty settings for different aspects of the game in Civ 7. But, take it from us, this isn’t as easy to toggle as you might think, and it took us a bit to find how to enable it. So, to save you the trouble, here’s a quick guide on how to turn on Custom AI Difficulty in Civ 7 after Update 1.2.2.
In order to adjust the all-new AI difficulty sliders in Civ 7, you need to follow a few simple steps when setting up a game:
The options you can modify all utilize the current difficulty settings in the game, with Scribe being the lowest and Deity being the highest. If you hover over each option listed, the game will tell you what that modifier does.
For example, if you hover over Combat Strength for Independents, it shows you that Scribe gives them -6 to Combat Strength, while Sovereign, Immortal, and Deity all have net neutral Combat Strength changes.
This is different for each aspect of the game, so be sure to check each as you go and stay tuned here for more Civ 7 news and updates!
