Here is a quick description of the spell.
“Temporarily forces enemies to fight as if they were your companion. While under your control they take reduced damage from other enemies to prolong their allegiance to you. Also curses the victim – and cursed enemies take extra damage.”
It is an interesting spell that allows for the player to gain a more tanky ally for a period of time and also allows for players and their allies to take out the target much more quickly once the enemy is done fighting for them.
It starts with a character named Sebastian Sallow. He is a Slytherin who the players will meet very early on in the game. His and his family’s story is an interesting one and the first one that will allow for the player to decide whether or not to join in studying the Dark Arts. The decision to be a dark witch or wizard will be able to be made during the game.
To be clear, these are side quests and are a bit deeper into the game as initially Sebastian Sallow is introduced at the first Defense Against the Dark Arts Class (ironic). The player’s character will likely defeat him in a duel and then he will ask if the player wants to duel in a less-than-allowed way. Once the player decides to seek out this underground dueling ring, that will technically be the start of the potential path to the Dark Arts.
Later in the game, Sebastian will explain more about himself and his family and the player will be able to go on a sidequest called, “In the Shadow of Time”. During this, players must pick the dialogue. Generally saying that the player is interested in learning it will make it happen. Once this is done the player will learn the spell and answer the question of How to Get Hogwarts Legacy Imperio Spell.
The spell itself is also available for those who have the Pre-Order DLC. It is in the Dark Arts Battle Arena in the Forbidden Forest.
