As you can imagine, farming is very important when trying to build a town in the middle of nowhere. In Farthest Frontier, not only are you building out farms, but you have livestock to consider as well. It is not always apparent how to do that, however. So here is how you can get Cows in Farthest Frontier.
Cows are crucial in Farthest Frontier. They are able to provide you with many different sources of food, including milk, cheese and meat and hides if you need it. They are relatively easy to take care of as well. But where can you find them?
Finding Cows
You are not able to find cows or really any livestock in the wild right now. Unlike deer and boar, which provide meat and hides as well, cows are domesticated.
Instead, you have to buy them. Ander Plainsrider is the trader that you need in order to get yourself some cows. There are a few things you will have to remember with this, though.

The first is that Ander will not always be there. Generally, you can expect him to show up at least once every other year. Along with that, he will not always have cows. You are more likely to get cows the first time he shows up or if you have a farm instead of one for goats or chickens. Lastly, the pricing for cows can vary.
Like every other item you can buy from the Trading Post, the prices can be extremely high or very low. For cows, you will need to have anywhere from 500 to 900 gold in the back for one.
Consistent Cows
Once you get your first cow, you will need to get another one from Ander again. Then you will be set up to start getting your own cows. Generally speaking, they will reproduce about once a year. There is a chance in the first year that you will not get a calf. But do not worry, as long as you keep your cows fed, then you will be fine.
