How much does Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak Cost?

Considering how drastic Iceborne was for Monster Hunter World, the expectations are incredibly high for the new DLC. Sunbreak is sure to change the effective meta, outdating practically all the current equipment. And considering committed players ran out of content in the base game, the release date of June 30, 2022 will be a great day. For players looking to purchase the DLC they may be wondering how much Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak Cost.

All Prices

The base expansion of Monster Huner Rise Sunbreak costs $39.99. As for the deluxe edition, it costs an extra ten dollars, standing at $49.99. The deluxe edition provides cosmetics, but that’s about it. Keep in mind, these prices are in USD and don’t include tax. These prices stand true for both the steam port alongside the original Nintendo Switch one. Both ports also receive the expansion at the same date. Considering the original game costs just about the same, price for value concern undoubtedly comes into question.

After all, it’s a little pricey for simple DLC. Well, though nothing has been officially play tested, the price will highly likely be well worth it. Especially for players who yearn for more Monster Hunter content.  Iceborne evolved the entire franchise, creating practically a whole new game. Though it’s technically DLC, the Iceborne expansion contains enough content to really be considered a separate entry in the franchise. Monster Hunter Sunbreak has been marketed as an expansion for Monster Hunter Rise with the same scale of improvements as Iceborne. Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak likely holds enough content to double players’ play time.

In Conclusion

Considering they extended Sunbreak’s release a number of times, Monster Hunter Sunbreak’s debut will highly likely not disappoint. The developers of the Monster Hunter franchise have an excellent history of creating absolute bangers for their main series, providing irreplaceable gameplay memories for gamers. Although Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak cost will likely go on sale in around a year, for those who want to partake early on, the price tag should be well worth it.
