Harry Potter Magic Awakened: Best Legendary spells for dueling 1v1?

Publish Date: July 26, 2023

Understanding each card’s importance and strengths is vitally crucial for Harry Potter Magic Awakened. And to do so, players need to know which cards are the best, and which cards just simply don’t see much use.

Of course, different cards have different benefits according to the game mode. This specific list will cover the best Legendary spell cards to use in a 1v1 match. The cards will be listed alongside the best echoes to use alongside with them.

Norwegian Rideback Egg

  • Echo: Neville Longbottom
  • Other cards: Nebelus, Essence of Dittany, Unicorn

This specific card, Norwegian Rideback Egg, summons a very powerful dragon. But there’s a catch — players need to heal the egg up all the way to full HP to summon the dragon, which is why Longbottom is crucial to use.

For those who don’t know, the Longbottom echo allows the player to basic attack their allies. Instead of dealing damage, this heals them. Keep in mind, timing Norwegian Rideback Egg is crucial, and it’s not without its counters. If the enemy bursts it down before you can heal it up, you end up wasting a solid 7 mana.

Piertotum Locomotor

  • Echo: Rubeus Hagrid
  • Other cards: Swelling Solution, Bombastic Bomb Box

Piertotum Locomotor is easily one of the best summons in the game. At the cost of 6 mana, the player summons to giant stone soldiers who taunt the enemy, and charge forward. They serve as great tanks, and deal a phenomenal amount of damage.

Combo this with the Hagrid Echo to maximize the summon, alongside Bombastic Bomb Box and Swelling Solution. But keep in mind, Piertotum Locomotor cannot hit flying targets. Therefore, summons like Baby Antipodean Opaleye counter it heavily.

Orb of Water

  • Echo: Hermione Granger
  • Other cards: simple low cost spells

Orb of Water is incredibly powerful. It not only deals great damage, but practically immobilizes the enemy. Combo this with the Hermione Granger echo to decrease the mana cost of Orb of Water — thereby making it cost 3 mana.

To build a deck with Orb of Water, prioritize other low mana cost spells, such as Broomstick, Inflatus, and Stupify. This thereby allows the player to cycle through their deck faster, and spam Orb of Water as mcuh as possible.

This spell can be countered by Inflatus, Expulso, and Expelliarmus, cancelling the spell cast. Players can also use Broomstick to avoid some of the damage. But most people, especially in the lower ranks, won’t have a counter prepared, much less be able to time the spells to counter properly.

In conclusion

There are still plenty of viable, very powerful cards. These are just three of very notable legendary cards, alongside ways to maximize their usage. Almost every Legendary card in Harry Potter Magic Awakened has its use — provided players understand how to build decks out of them.
