After what’s felt like an eternity, GTA VI is being officially unveiled this week. In addition, Rockstar Games is rumored to release a GTA VI trailer in around a month. The news was revealed by Bloomberg, who supposedly have an inside source. In addition, Rockstar Games officially confirmed the news themselves — revealing that the GTA VI trailer will release in early December.

According to Bloomberg, “Rockstar Games, a division of Take-Two Interactive Software Inc., plans to announce the next highly anticipated Grand Theft Auto game as early as this week. […] The company plans to then publish a trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI next month to celebrate Rockstar’s 25th anniversary.”
In other words, GTA VI is being officially announced. After so many leaks and speculation over the past couple of years, Rockstar Games is making a public announcement. And according to the source, they have a trailer planned around a month after the announcement.
After the public announcement slated for the week of November 8, Rockstar Games plans a trailer for early December. They officially publicized the news on Twitter on November 8, stating “We are very excited to let you know that in early December, we will release the first trailer for the next Grand Theft Auto.”
The gaming community is rather skeptical regarding this rumor. Not because they don’t think an announcement and trailer is coming, but because they’re expecting a very minimal trailer reveal.
“100% they’re gonna show a 10 second trailer with the camera panning over some random beach, then the screen turns black and it’ll show the words ‘GTA VI’,” one Redditor speculates.
“Ah yes, the much vaunted ‘pre-announcement announcement’, another commented, poking fun at the potential announcement.
Players have earned the right to have catered expectations. After all, some have waited over ten years for a sequel, and have been disappointed by news reveals time and time again. Whatever the case, hopefully the news is true this time, and Rockstar Games reveals a GTA 6 trailer in the next coming month.
