Traditionally, when video games launch with different editions, you usually have 3 versions to choose from. These editions are typically Standard, Deluxe, and Ultimate, each with its own price and bonuses. However, with Grand Theft Auto VI anticipated to release on November 19, that won’t be the case. Only two versions will be released: Standard and Ultimate. Without a middle ground between the GTA 6 Ultimate Edition and the Standard Edition, which version will give gamers more bang for their buck, and will the extra cash be worth it?
As mentioned earlier, only two versions of GTA 6 will be available for purchase on November 19 that include the title. No matter which edition gamers choose, Rockstar Games promises they can still fully experience GTA 6. For an additional price, players can get the ultimate experience, with bonuses like extra cars, outfits, and other customization options. Before getting into that, let’s take a look at what comes with the standard version of GTA 6
GTA VI Standard Edition – $79.99
For $79.99, the GTA 6 Standard Edition offers only two bonuses. This version includes the Vintage Vice City pack and a one-month GTA+ subscription. The Vintage Vice City serves as the game’s digital preorder bonus. The pack includes a ’55 Vapid Stanier sedan, a Shore Court garage near Ocean Beach, decadent outfits and hairstyles for both Jason and Lucia, and an iconic weapon pattern inspired by Tommy Vercetti’s palm-tree button-up. For those unfamiliar with GTA+, Rockstar’s premium membership program offers a range of benefits. These include different GTA Online perks and access to a selection of Rockstar Games titles. It’s especially beneficial for GTA Online players. Now let’s take a look at the ultimate edition of GTA 6.

For an extra $20, the GTA 6 Ultimate Edition offers plenty of extra benefits. It includes extra outfits, cars, and other customization options for both protagonists, Jason and Lucia, plus special destinations exclusive to Ultimate Edition owners. Those Benefits are as follows:
Special Destinations Exclusive to the Ultimate Edition
While Rockstar Games claims you can experience Grand Theft Auto 6 no matter which version you buy, one side will get the true premium experience. Even if the cosmetics aren’t your main interest, the exclusive destinations and storefronts really drive it home. Of course, we won’t be able to see actual gameplay of these bonuses until November 19, so patient gamers can wait until then to make a final decision, but for those eager and confident, it sounds like a profitable purchase.
