Grand Theft Auto VI Trailer 1
Quoting the Rockstar Games here: “Grand Theft Auto VI heads to the state of Leonida, home to the neon-soaked streets of Vice City and beyond in the biggest, most immersive evolution of the Grand Theft Auto series yet.”
Rockstar Games planned to release the trailer on December 5, Tuesday at 9 AM Eastern Time. But like previously, the game company couldn’t keep their content safe from the internet. A clip from the trailer was released on X (aka Twitter) before the said date and time.
So, they responded briskly through a tweet “Our trailer has leaked so please watch the real thing on YouTube.” along with a video of the official trailer that went bonkers as soon as it was released.
There we have a minute and half long official trailer of one of the most anticipated games in the world. Watch it in high-res through a blazing-fast Kinetic Internet.
What lies in the trailer?
The evident one
Lucia is the first-ever female protagonist of the game series with story elements constructed around Bonnie and Clyde.
The character is shown wearing a prison jumpsuit at the beginning of the trailer. She responded to the interrogation for her incarceration: “Bad luck, I guess”. Lucia is a fresh release from jail and went on a road of crime adventure with her boyfriend. The game is set in the backdrop of Vice City, a game version of Miami.
The tiny details
The game has been in development for about ten years and will be taking another before the release. So, that fuels the curiosity among the fans.
Circling back to calming down your curiosity, the opening shot includes a prison, a big one actually. In 2022, leaks unearthed that the first scene of the game would be a prison, and the anticipants went down discussing that it might not be true. But here we are, Lucia will first break free from the prison.
Also, if you’ll have a closer at the trailer you can notice the skyline of the city is much bigger than the GTA 5. That means the city can be bigger in the upcoming game.
The trailer shows yachts at the beach of the Vice City. If you loved the yachts, good for you, they are back in the sixth version.
The game will be welcoming back two of the air-born vehicles. One is the Maverick, a helicopter from the current version, and a Dodo airplane that displays ‘Why sixty-nine when you can nine one nine?’. If you know you know.
Coming back to the land. The game will feature an area inspired by the Everglades Wetland in Florida. A fan boat can be seen in the trailer that is passing through the Wetland. Also, the alligators can be seen by closely looking at the swamps in the trailer. Yeah, that’s gonna be fun.
The next scene covers a beach and you can see a large number of people sunbathing. In the same scene, we can see two helicopters coming in the GTA 6: Buckingham SuperVolito and a Sea Sparrow. A Sea Sparrow can land anywhere on the water thanks to its lightweight body. In the same scene, the jet skis can be seen.
Then we are gonna skip the dock area as it doesn’t signify much.
The next one is important. The scene displays the nightlife in the vice city with Lucia driven around by her boyfriend. The scene confirms some of the locations of the game: Kelly County, Vice City International Airport, and Stockyard Downtown among others.
In GTA 5 the club was named Vanilla Unicorn but in GTA 6 it has been changed to Jack of Hearts. And the scene is, forsooth, crazier than the one from the current version.
Then there are two men fist-bumping each other and we have a feeling that these characters are important to the GTA 6 story.
The next shot in the trailer is fantastic. A breathtaking aerial view of the city holds two interesting facts. One: there is a large number of yachts which signifies that you might be able to purchase one and the second: a tennis court, so, the tennis returns to the game.
GTA fans do love the cars and it’s not even a disappointment here in the 6th version. Lamborghini, Gauntlet Hellfire, and Porsche among others will be in the game.
The cargo ships in the GTA 5 are stationary, right? But not in the GTA 6. In the other scene, we can see it moving. So, gamers potentially may hijack it in the gameplay.
As the trailer shows the short-form content in the game, Grand Theft Auto 6 will take the social media like TikTok onboard in the game.
As we mentioned earlier about the alligators in the swamps, they are not limited to the Wetland only. In the coming scenes, we can see an alligator breaking into a GoPostal office. The shot is a POV from CCTV footage in the game.
The trailer features a shot for a Thrill Billy Mud Club that indicates that off-roading in the game is likely gonna be a big thing.
When will Rockstar Games release GTA 6?
In some of the announcements, the game company said that it will be released in the fiscal year 2025. Fiscal implies the time before the fourth month of the year. But let’s see when Rockstar Games will release the fully developed version of the game.
