Gotham Knights sadly will not feature cross-play of any sort. While crossplay could still be implemented in the game WB Games Montreal hasn’t made any announcement regarding the feature. Other multiplayer features have been announced though. Gotham Knights is a completely open-world game. An open-world game that can be played entirely in a single-player game or a two-player co-op. Within a coop, game players will have the freedom to explore Gotham without the limitations of being in a coop game. This means that players will not be tethered to one another. Gamers will be allowed to play as the same heroes without any restrictions. There will also be no level restrictions when playing with friends.
Separate from the Arkham Batman games Gotham Knights takes place in a universe where Batman has died. Taking over the torch will be Batgirl, Nightwing, Red Hood, and Robin. Each character comes with their own playstyle and abilities. Batgirl is trained in a variety of fighting styles and is equipped with her tonfa. Nightwing excels at acrobatics and is known for fighting with his escrima sticks. Her signature weapon is the tonfa. Robin is an expert fighter equipped with a collapsible staff and is skilled in stealth. Red Hood fights in both a traditional and high-tech manner using a variety of weapons at his disposal.
