The Street Fighter V: Champion Edition Grand Finals were very exciting to watch. iDom, one of the most prominent and best players in the American regions was able to dominate his way through the losers bracket. Eliminating other top players including Nathan “Mister Crimson” Massol, Daigo “The Beast”, Tokdio, and Tsunehiro “Gachikun” Kanamori.
When iDom and Kawano were finally able to meet in Grand Finals, iDom was able to sweep through Kawano and reset the bracket. Initially, after losing the entire set, Kawano was able to keep up with iDom and end up with the fifth match.
iDom in many of his matches was able to apply so much pressure using Laura. However, during the final match, Kawano was able to use V-Shifts effectively, and punish iDom. The match was very close, ending in a final round where both players were matching health. The match ends with Kawano and iDom both one combo away from victory but Kawano was able to get the Crush Counter to victory.
