When will Blade Assault be released?

Well, the good news for those that have been on tenterhooks, is that Blade Assault has just been released. The game was officially made available on March 31^st on Xbox One, Xbox Series S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch. 

Before that, Blade Assault was given an early release on Steam in early 2022. Indeed, Blade Assault was supposed to be released last year, but unknown complications caused it to be delayed.

What’s the story behind Blade Assault?

For those that are uninclined, then Blade Assault is centred around the Red Stone War, where the world is divided into three regions. These can be classified as the mutant infested outside grounds, the Undercity where citizens have tried to hide from mutants, as well as the sky city Esperanza where the most affluent people rule the world.

Players will be designated characters from the resistance force of the Undercity, who are trying to bring down the corrupt Esperanza military.

What is the gameplay like?

For those that like the more sci-fi genre of fighter games, Blade Assault tries to stand out from the crowd by being a 2D action rogue-lite performer and the graphics are vibrant.

Providing fast-paced combat, the game has several neat features, including responsive controls and a plethora of charming characters. These playable characters also have variable transformable weapons, and weapons can be customized under two categories — Cores and Transform Upgrades.

Attacks in the game will alter depending on what Cores you use, but Blade Assault has helped elevate the awareness of fighter games to new heights.
