During an official stream, Bandai Namco announced the release of Dragonball The Breakers Cross Play. They shared the information towards the end of their broadcast, stating “Cross Play currently developed.” But what is the Dragonball The Breakers Cross Play release date?

As of now, there is no release date — but players should definitely expect it relatively soon. It’s highly likely that because it’s such a work in progress, Bandai Namco themselves cannot in good faith provide a release date quite yet. After all, a release date is a deadline with expectations towards quality.

In Bandai Namco’s words, “Please wait a little more while enjoying season 4.” So players should expect more updates incoming during season 4.

Let’s make some speculations. Each season is around 4-5 months long. Considering the game isn’t the most robust in regards to its player base, Bandai Namco definitely wants cross play out sooner than later. Considering their adamant intent to keep the game alive, The Breakers Cross Play is undoubtably a huge priority. But the fact of the matter is Dragonball The Breakers season 4 brings a wealth of content, including Broly’s debut. Their immediate focus has definitely been on the new season content, with Cross Play being a little bit on the backburner.

They definitely will announce something during season 4, which starts on November 1. And since season 4 should last around four or five months, it will end around the end of February or early March. But for gaming companies, the Christmas holiday seasons are a huge determining factor for sales. So Bandai Namco will likely want to launch The Breakers Cross Play during December. This sets the speculated release date on early to mid December of 2024.

This is assuming Bandai Namco’s plans go perfectly, that they just go smooth sailing through development. Of course, though this would be ideal, cross play is definitely a lot harder to incorporate than most realize. Therefore, though they likely want a December release, it appears it’s still too early for the developers to commit on that date — especially with the release of Season 4 undoubtably bringing about more work.
