When players are initially installing Diablo 4 they will be given different options. The one that they are looking for when answering this is the optional pack to install high-resolution assets. This is not something that will be installed without players opting into it. It will help improve the quality of the game.

For those with Steam Decks wondering if they should, many other fans and players are saying that it does not make a huge difference. There are certainly players who care about graphics more than others. While the Steam Deck is not graphically the most impressive console, it does a pretty solid job.

What is being reported with the PC or main console versions is that these graphical additions will help on more high-resolution monitors. When playing on 1440p or 4k resolution monitors, things can look less than ideal. So if one is planning on using these types of resolutions then they will likely want to download these optional assets.
