Deadlock Hero Tier List May 2025: Post Major Shop Rework Meta

In May 2025, Deadlock released a massive update that completely overhauled the game’s shop and brought a slew of balance changes along with it. This makes some major changes to the game’s meta, and subsequently impacts which heroes perform better or worse than others. To help you make sense of all of the changes, here is our May 2025 Deadlock Hero Tier List.

Deadlock Hero Tier List: Best heroes in May 2025

The following tier list is designed for ranked play, seeking to rate all heroes’ performance across all ranks of play. The author closely follows the professional scene through events like Deadlock Fight Night, has over 300 hours in the game, and is ranked around Ritualist/Emissary. These, as well as hero performance stats on sites like Statlocker, are all being taken into account when rating these heroes. We hope you enjoy the list!

In general, the tiering for heroes can be understood as follows:

• S-Tier: The best current heroes in the game at all ranks. Can be massive difference-makers and generally have very low floors with the highest ceilings of any hero in the game currently.
• A-Tier: Solid heroes that will give you positive results in almost all situations. These may have a handful of downsides, but are overall incredibly strong and should be a priority pick at any rank.
• B-Tier: These heroes begin to feel situational, with some being able to swing games and take over, while others have clear peaks and valleys.
• C-Tier: At times, these heroes can feel quite strong, but seem to struggle in most instances in the current meta. They can be good and can still provide value, but it will be an uphill battle against other, stronger heroes.
• D-Tier: In the current game state, these heroes (or hero*, sorry, Bebop) feel undertuned and very difficult to get sustained value out of. Look for other options if possible.
