College Football 26 Road to Glory high school recruiting explained

Publish Date: June 27, 2025

There are a lot of big changes coming to Road to Glory in College Football 26, but perhaps none are bigger than the actual process of selecting your school, playing through high school moments, and eventually committing. So, here is a breakdown of the recruiting process and everything you need to know to sign with your dream school in CFB 26.

College Football 26 Road to Glory recruiting guide

Step 1: Character creation

Before any recruiting can happen, players will need to create their character, selecting one of five positions and one of four star rating choices, as well as other details like their hometown, appearance, and so on. These will all play a role in what schools are initially interested in you, as in-state and regional schools will prioritize you in recruiting.

Step 2: Select your top preferred schools

Once you have made your character, you will build the inverse of a Dynasty recruiting board, instead putting schools on a board that you would like to attend, potentially. These will all have a starting interest in you based on your position archetype, location, caliber, and so on. From there, you will be able to see what other players in your recruiting class are competing for the same spots.

Step 3: Play high school “moments” and build your tape

Once players have got their boards set and characters made, it’s time to finally hit the gridiron. You will complete different moments in high school, playing portions of games with mini-game challenges to earn the favor of programs on your big board. According to devs:

“After each moment ends, you’ll get a drive summary, breaking down your performance. This includes all completed goals, your total tape score for the game, how many moments remain, and any Team Impacts you created, which are plays that are not a part of your core drive goals, but influence your team’s ability to win the game.”

Step 4: Get scholarship offers, set a top 3, and pick your school at Signing Day

You will continue to play games and complete challenges until the end of the season at Senior Night, where your efforts will culminate in one final game, where you will finally decide on your top 3 schools. These will be from the many that you have likely received offers from so far, finally putting the decision in your hands to choose your home at Signing Day.

From there, you commit, and you are on your way to becoming the next legend for that university!
