Civilization fans rejoice, not only is the new entry coming soon, but a lot more than what was anticipated was revealed at Gamescom. There may have been details that you missed but do not fret. We went through everything that was shown and are going to list is out for you. So here is everything that was revealed at Gamescom 2024 for Civilization 7.

20-minute Civilization Gameplay Showcase
- Narrator REVEALED
- Civics are back
- Gold, Science, Culture, Happiness and more revealed in the UI at the top left (Picture below for reference)
- Leaders can lead different civs (Benjamin Franklin leading what looks like Greece)
- Potentially more options for war. Could we be getting why someone is going to war or just more in-depth decisions for war?
- Greeting Options
- Ages announced. There will be three Antiquity, Exploration and Modern
- You will pick a new civ before each age (think Humankind)
- Your founder (first settler) gets three movements
- Map shadows seems to represent the culture you have
- Victory percentage is a condition in the top left
- Each building takes a space or just expansion on districts?
- Currency, Masonry, Irrigation, Sailing and Writing (multiple levels of each potentially) are shown in a tech tree
- Settlement Limits are introduced
- Some rivers are able to be navigated, confirmed
- Potentially able to create districts or buildings beyond your border (or this might just be an encampment or tribe)
- May be levels of cities? They refer to the town that could eventually become a city.
- Ways to improve relations and even have spies
- Units all look very different depending on culture
- Multiple legacies to keep from your previous age. It looks like there are a certain amount you can pick ranging from city growth to military, economy and technology
- Looks as if the map may expand as you play your main campaign?
- Also sounds like some resources will not be available until certain ages
- Does this mean that you cannot have tankss in the Antiquity age?
- Songhai revealed
- New ways to interact with other Civs, local festival as a project shown
- Crisis added where you will have to make choices on how to deal with them before the new age
- It becomes about connecting four original Civ with each Civ
- Civs are truly balanced around the age and each on has their own units, buildings and more
- You can play any age on its own or all of them as a campaign
- Leaders will stay the same even though your civ will not
- There are leader attributes and we see six to choose from. Cultural, Diplomatic, Economic, Expansionist, Militaristic and Scientific
- There are narrative events that help your leader grow
- The game map “literally expands” when there is a new age
- You can discover things like shipwrecks which likely give bonuses
- Age transitions are big. Gameplay decisions can effect what you change into for your next Civ.
- More units that are “constantly engaging each other”
