Civ 7 fans rejoice, the much-anticipated June update finally has a set release date and will be hitting live servers sooner than you may think. Here’s more on the contents of the update and when you can play it for yourself.

Civ 7 June Update 1.2.2 Release Date

Civ 7 Update 1.2.2 has been confirmed to have a June 17 release date, according to developers. This news comes from a developer update posted on June 10 on the Civilization website, which details most of what fans should expect from the coming update.

The update will feature some of the most talked-about improvements to the game, including the following:

• Ability to turn Legacy Paths off and on
• Huge/Large maps
• Ability to pick which Crisis will activate
• Ability to play any Civ (bypassing the Civ unlock requirements)
• Steam Workshop support
• New Town Specializations
• Much more – including making the Scout Dog pettable!
