As with its other predecessors, Borderlands 4 will feature four brand-new Vault Hunters. Each hunter has their own unique traits, action skills, and, more importantly, skill trees. Same as the other Borderlands titles in the franchise, each vault hunter will have 3 different skill trees, which allows gamers to customize them to their preferred playstyles. To prep gamers setting off on their vault hunting journey, here’s a rundown of everything included in the Borderlands 4 character skill tree for each character.

Harlowe, also known as The Gravitar, is a Mailiwan combat scientist who relies heavily on her technology while in battle. Whether it’s with her flux generator, HALO Accelerator, or her CHROMA Accelerator, Harlowe can dish out heavy area damage.
Creative Burst
Using her CHROMA Accelerator, Harlowe fires an unstable energy pocket that passes through enemies while dealing cryo damage. Pressing the action skill will explode the unstable energy pocket and deal heavy radiation damage in a large area.
Seize The Day
Harlowe uses her HALO Accelerator to place an enemy in stasis for a duration. If any enemies are immune to the stasis, they will take damage instead. Using the ability again will cause the enemy in stasis to be slammed into the ground, creating a small explosion.
Cosmic Brilliance
Harlowe throws her flux generator in front of her, and in turn, it projects an energy field. The energy field deals cryo damage over time, entangling enemies. Any allies who are caught inside the energy field won’t be damaged but instead will gain overshield. If players use the ability again, they can pick up the flux generator and toss it again.

Amon is a true warrior who uses a forge axe, hammer, and shield to emerge victorious in battle. Probably as a result of being raised in a Vault monster-worshipping cult. Out of all of the Vault Hunters available, the ForgeKnight can be built as a highly customizable tank.
Calamity
Amon overloads his Forgefist, gaining constant shield regeneration. Additionally, he gains bonus incendiary damage with guns and increased movement speed. While active, his melee turns into a rocket punch, dashing to the target enemy. The melee deals incendiary damage, causing stagger.
Vengeance
Equip a Forgeshield that absorbs all frontal damage. Once the vengeance meter is filled, Forgeshield will provide damage reduction instead. Vengeance drains rapidly if it has not been gained recently. Pressing the action skill launches a Forgewave, dealing cryo damage to enemies it passes through.
Crucible
Throw a flame axe or frost axe, which can be picked up, refunding cooldown. Any enemies damaged by forgeaxes are primed for a duration and will detonate when they die or are damaged by a forgeskill.

No Borderlands game is complete without a Siren. Vex is a damage dealer who overpowers her enemies with her minions or her badass siren powers.
The Fourth Seal
Vex spawns a Phase Specter or Reaper Minion. The Reaper taunts enemies and deals melee attack damage. While immobile, the Specter deals gun damage. While losing health per second, their damage type matches Vex’s current attunement when spawned.
Vexcalation
Vex creates a phase explosion, dealing damage to nearby enemies and fully restoring her health. While active, Vex can use Eldritch Blast, dealing damage to nearby enemies on impact. She also gains increased movement speed. Gun damage reduces Eldritch Blast cooldown.
Here Comes Trouble
Vex spawns her minion, Trouble. Upon use, Trouble spawns in the dealing area damage. Trouble will then transform into a Badass, fully restoring health and gaining increased damage for a duration.

Rafa is the definition of a super soldier. Being part of Tediore’s military force, his body has been altered with high-tech weaponry. Rafa now uses his arsenal of weapons to blast enemies with his arm cannons and cut the competition with his energy swords.
People Person
While it does decrease Rafa’s gun handling, his offhand arm cannon allows him to fire piercing shock ordnance blasts. Players can charge this ability for increased damage, projectile size, and projectile speed.
Remote Agent
Rafa equips his shoulder-mounted peacebreaker cannons. These cannons fire at enemies in front of him for a duration, dealing kinetic gun damage.
This Year’s Gimmick
Equipping his arc-knives, Rafa deals melee damage and marks enemies whenever damaging them. Enemies take increased damage for every mark on them. Additionally, he can dash forward and perform a shock melee attack, shocking all marked enemies.
