What previously seemed impossible is finally happening: Borderlands 3 is coming to the Switch. Sources show that the Borderlands 3 Nintendo Switch release date is on October 6, information revealed by the official Borderlands Twitter account.
People speculate the Nintendo Switch iteration of Borderlands to be the Ultimate Edition. And since this is a version of the game that has already been released on other platforms, this includes:
Borderlands 3 Nintendo Switch is predicted to cost $59.99 + tax, the same price as the majority of triple A video game releases.
Sources online state there will be both physical and digital orders of the game.

One comment on the Twitter post said “I wish Nintendo Switch had Borderlands 3! I’d buy it then.”
The official Borderlands twitter account replied “On October 6, your wishes come true.” They followed up with a winky face, as if alluding to the release of the Borderlands 3 Nintendo Switch.
Considering this is the official Borderlands Twitter account, this is a rather solid reveal for the eventual release of the Nintendo Switch port. And they literally state the release date in the Twitter post — but they haven’t created a bigger trailer or teaser announcing the port.
It’s been years since the initial release of Borderlands 3. And considering the game took quite the hardcore specs on PC to run efficiently, while lagging on other powerhouse consoles, such as the PS4 and Xbox One, one can’t help but wonder how it’ll run on the Nintendo Switch.
The game will undoubtably have to make hardware compromises to run effectively. Either that, or god forbid, Borderlands 3 may be a cloud version. But considering the Nintendo Switch ports for all the previous Borderlands games have been incredibly solid, expectations are set high for Borderlands 3 Nintendo Switch.
