It’s already been a successful time for Playtech in 2024. They recently published their financial results for FY 2023 with a 7 percent increase to $1.8 billion. Also increasing was their adjusted EBITDA with a 9 percent rise being reported.
Bet365 are glad to be back in the headlines for the right reason. Last month they were ordered to pay £582,120 to the UK Gambling Commission. It was found that there had been social responsibility and anti-money laundering failures in their online business.
A compliance assessment carried out in March 2022 found that there were problems with the effectiveness of their Early Risk Detection System. When it came to the risk of money laundering on their site, their know your customers’ triggers were also found to be ineffective.
Independent verification checks were also not up to the required standard. The assessment found that there was an over reliance on the annual self-verification information provided.
