Over on Twitter (X), user @Idle Sloth shared various images where Xbox players received notifications from Xbox Gamepass about Baldur’s Gate 1 and 2 joining the subscription service. Even the r/XboxGamePass Reddit community has gamers allegedly claiming to have received the same notifications that @IdleSloth has shown. There has been no official statement from Xbox regarding the allegations.
While the fate of Baldur’s Gate 1 and Baldur’s Gate 2 is unknown what gamers do know is that Xbox Gamepass subscribers will most likely not see Baldur’s Gate 3 make its introduction to the subscription service. Currently, the Xbox port of the title is currently experiencing technical difficulties due to issues with the split-screen co-op on the Xbox Series S version. Even looking past the technical issues at hand, there has been no inclination of the game being added to the Xbox Gamepass service.
In Baldur’s Gate 3, the main character along with their companions are all infected with a parasite turning them into mind flayers, which are psychic, alien tyrants. The player’s quest to remove the parasite begins after escaping their alien captors and crashing on a beach. Luckily for players, they do not have to play the other Baldurs’s Gate titles to understand what is happening in Baldur’s Gate 3.
Baldur’s Gate 3 currently has 3 different versions to choose from, each one providing its bonuses and perks.
Baldurs Gate Standard Edition Pre Order ($69.99)
Baldurs Gate Deluxe Edition ($79.99)
Baldur’s Gate 3 Collector’s Edition ($269.99)
