Baldur’s Gate is currently available on PS5 and PC. An Xbox Series X|S release date is expected to come out later this year. Whatever platform you decide to play on, there may be moments when you want to make a switch to a different console. So does Baldur’s Gate 3 support cross-progression?

Regardless of what platform players decide to start their adventure on, Baldur’s Gate 3 cross-progression is supported. This means that progress and save date will transfer between systems. The only dilemma that can be found with this is for PC players. If playing a campaign with mods, they won’t transfer over to the console version of BG3 as they’re not supported. Maybe in the future it will be planned to be a feature.
Players can look forward to creating their very own adventuring group. Baldur’s Gate 3 does in fact have an online coop option. A max of four party members can come together and enjoy the experience together. Each member will be able to control one character each.
